Discussion: a. New IBISCHK7 BUG submittal Michael Mirmak submitted a description of a bug regarding [Diff Pin] and [Model Selector]. One model is referenced by 2 [Model Selector] keywords; one single-ended and one differential. The parser issues a caution for this condition. BUG192 in 2017 is related to this. It changes the wording of the caution message. Michael said that the problem is that for large components, this caution message might be issued hundreds of times. Weston noted that the caution is a good idea to check that the model creator double-checked the model assignments. He suggested that a good compromise would be to issue the caution message only once per model in a file. Michael agreed that this would be a good compromise. Randy found BUG95 from 2007, which discussed this issue and changed the message from a warning to a caution. [AR] Randy will create the formal bug report using the information that Michael sent. b. IBISCHK8 parser development cost estimate for SAE ITC September budgeting Randy will work on this. He will review past contracts for parser development to establish a reasonable estimate of the cost. The 2 past contracts that we could find during the meeting had costs of $2000 and $17000. Randy will work directly with Atul to get a better estimate for this specific version of parser development. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - none Randy moved to adjourn. Weston seconded. Without objection, the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:36 pm ET Next meeting 09 JUL 2024
